“Born a Crime: Stories from South African Childhood” is bestselling memoir that was written by Trevor Noah, African-born comedian of global acclaim. In the book, Noah relives his upbringing in Africa, when apartheid policies and legislation were designed harshly implemented to keep country’s citizens apart based on race ethnicity. Yet, relieving this oppressive traumatic period proceeding 1994 democratic era, applies humor as storytelling strategy downplay harsh period.
